About the Role
Key Responsibilities
• Oversee the operation, maintenance, and reliability of all electrical systems across the
complex.
• Manage and monitor LV/MV systems, switchgear, transformers, UPS, generators,
lighting systems, emergency power, earthing, and associated electrical infrastructure.
• Ensure all electrical assets are maintained in accordance with PPM schedules, statutory
requirements, and manufacturer recommendations.
• Respond to and support resolution of electrical faults, breakdowns, and emergency
incidents.
• Conduct regular inspections, testing, and condition assessments of electrical equipment
and systems.
• Review and supervise specialist contractors and service providers carrying out electrical
maintenance and project works.
• Support the planning and execution of shutdowns, upgrades, refurbishments, and
electrical improvement projects.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant Qatar regulations, HSE standards, and site-specific
security protocols.
• Prepare technical reports, maintenance records, risk assessments, method statements,
and performance updates.
• Coordinate with other FM disciplines including MEP, BMS, HVAC, Fire & Life Safety, and
Security Systems teams.
• Support energy efficiency initiatives and identify opportunities for system optimization
and operational improvement.
• Maintain strict adherence to access control, permit-to-work, and security clearance
procedures within the complex.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in electrical engineering with minimum 3 in Facilities
Management, property management, infrastructure, or critical environments.
• Strong experience with LV/MV electrical systems, backup power systems (UPS /
Generators), electrical distribution networks, preventive and corrective maintenance, and
fault finding / troubleshooting.
• Good knowledge of construction / electrical standards, HSE compliance, and statutory
maintenance requirements.
• Experience supervising contractors, reviewing technical submittals, and managing
service delivery.
• Proficient in preparing reports, maintenance documentation, and technical evaluations.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to work in a structured, confidential, and highly regulated environment.
Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
• Experience with BMS / SCADA / CAFM systems.
• Knowledge of emergency response and business continuity in critical facilities.
• Previous GCC experience preferred.
